UML sux

I had a phone screen yesterday with a company that wanted someone to produce design documents with lots of UML to hand off to a development team. Go from BA -> architect -> UML guy -> lead developer -> offshore developers. So the discussion went from what UML tools do you like (are you a RAD guy, Together guy, etc), and which diagrams do you use (class, collaboration, component, use case, etc). Then I this was just posted to DZone recently: UML descends into darkness . Need to look at Violet UML, hopefully it is better to use than Visio.
