Boat anchor cuts off half of India’s Internet bandwidth

OK, the story is that two undersea telecom cables were cut off the coast of Egypt, reportedly due to an anchor ripping them. Repairs held up due to weather.

You did know that practically all intercontinental telecom traffic(voice, Internet) travels via undersea cable?
