Former (and maybe future) Israeli PM said 9/11 was a good thing

April 22, 2008

Yeah, this was a few days ago. Apparently he really did say this.

The former and probably future prime minister of Israel, the neo-con’s neo-con Benjamin Netanyahu said in a speech that Israel has benefited from the 9/11 attacks because it made Americans more sympathetic to Israeli and its (Likud) policies. This is da bomb for conspiracy theorists who believe the Iraq war is being fought for Israel. The Iranians say the Israelis carried out the attacks in the first place.

So, I wonder, who else has benefited from the attacks or said that they were a good thing?

The attackers were supposed to get some kind of reward in the hereafter?

This guy said that the 9/11 attacks were a work of art , but not really a good thing. Guess he doesn’t count.

Surviving family members of the attacks who took the settlement got around $1.6 million each. I’m not suggesting that money can replaced loved ones, but it does wonders for things like paying off mortgages and providing vacation cruises.

Bin Laden’s niece got a part on a reality show.

Speaking of bin Laden it was a mixed bag for him. It went off better than even he expected, and he gave the neocons the reason to get the US into a war in Iraq. But he’s been stuck in remote caves ever since, if he is still alive.

This guy has sold an awful lot of books after 9/11.

This guy got to try out his new vision for the Army in the war in Iraq. Didn’t work. His boss too. He got to don a flight suit and land on a carrier.
