British scientist quits job over creationism row

The director of education for the Royal Society has resigned over the controversy regarding his belief that creationism should be taught alongside the theory of evolution in UK science classes. His bosses there didn’t agree. According to the article linked above, 10% of the UK population is creationist (as opposed to around 50-60% of the US population.)

I suppose that one difference between the US and the UK is that in the US, evolutionists are the ones under fire, while in the UK it is the opposite.
